About me
I am a senior business and sustainability professional with a broad international experience. In my prior roles at Royal DSM (now: DSM-Firmenich), KPN and as a consultant, I have learned what it takes to convince boards and mobilise experts to lead change.
With optimism, perseverance and pragmatism, I lead people of all backtgrounds, building on my engineering background (MSc, Delft) and industry experience in research, innovation, marketing, business development, advocacy and sustainability.
A well-designed purpose-led strategy can create both societal value and business progress. Supporting you, I will bring deep knowledge of embedding environmental and social sustainability in business, impact measurement, food systems, regenerative agriculture, protein transitions, and equity. People describe me as optimistic, impact-driven, collaborative and results-oriented.
I maintain close ties with industry peers, academics, NGOs. I am a frequent guest lecturer, regularly post opinion articles on LinkedIn and in other channels. In my book ‘Your Customers Want Your Products To Be Green’ (2011) I share best practices of sustainability leaders. In my free time I love to draw and paint.
For our world to be a healthy place for people to flourish, we have to shift gears and change our approach to food, energy, mobility and the built environment.
Businesses are an excellent force for good to drive to this. I’m eager to work with you on this!
